Paul Rodriguez currently stands as one of Nike’s front men and was the proud owner the first ever Nike SB signature named after himself. P-Rod celebrated his Mexican heritage by releasing a special Cinco De Mayo colorway of his original P-Rod signature shoe which features the colors of the Mexican flag and a great golden graphic of wings. The P-Rod 3 version doesn’t feature any intricate “tattooing” but does feature an all-green suede upper with white, red, and brown trim. It’s easy to make the connection with the Nike SB Dunk Heineken, but wouldn’t Corona be a better fit for the occasion? The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico, and especially in U.S. cities with a significant Mexican population. It is not, as many people think, Mexico’s Independence Day, which is actually September 16.

Nike used the Air Force One and has dedicate it to celebrate Black History Month. The sneaker is comprised of the colors on the African Flag.

* Red: the blood that unites all people of African ancestry, and shed for liberation
* Black: black people whose existence as a nation, though not a nation-state, is affirmed by the existence of the flag
* Green: the abundant natural wealth of Africa.

The sneaker has already hit stores for 2010 with a price tag of $135

These are the AJKO, they were released back in 1985 with the Jordan 1’s.
Most of the sneaker is made out of canvas, with leather at the ankle and on the wings.The retro AJKO has been given the vintage look. If you were to look at any of the originals that someone might have laying around, the retros would look almost identical to the 25 year old sneaker.The retro is set to come out in the summer time of 2010.
